Setting Up Loot Integrations for a Modded Server

Server-Side Only Installation

This mod is designed to run on the server alone. Players connecting do not need it in their client modpack, which keeps distribution simple and avoids version mismatch kicks. The server rolls all loot, so the integration takes effect for everyone automatically.

Recommended Setup Order

1. Install Dungeon Crawl on the server first, since this integration depends on its structures and loot tables existing.

2. Add Loot Integrations: Dungeon Crawl after it so its table edits apply on top.

3. Add the content mods whose loot you want to appear. The integration draws from vanilla tables that those mods expand, so more content mods generally means more variety.

4. Start the server once and let it finish loading before generating new terrain.

Things to Watch On Multiplayer

  • If you use a datapack-based loot overhaul, place it so it does not overwrite the integration's tables.
  • Back up your world before changing loot mods, since table changes affect future chest generation only and are hard to reverse cleanly.
  • Tell players to explore new regions rather than old dungeons, because existing chests will not retroactively change.

Result

Once configured, every player opening a freshly generated Dungeon Crawl chest sees a broader, mod-aware loot pool without installing anything client-side.
