How to Make Dungeon Crawl Chests Drop Modded Loot

Understanding How the Integration Works

Loot Integrations: Dungeon Crawl does not add its own items. Instead, it rewrites the loot tables that Dungeon Crawl structures use so they pull entries from comparable vanilla loot tables, which in turn are often expanded by other installed mods. This means the modded loot you see in a Dungeon Crawl chest is usually coming from another mod's additions to vanilla tables, not from this mod directly.

Steps to Get Modded Loot Appearing

1. Confirm the mod is installed on the server only. Clients do not need it, but the server must have it active before world generation or before chests are first opened.

2. Install the mods whose loot you want to see. If a mod does not inject its items into vanilla loot tables, this integration has nothing to pull from and you will not see that mod's gear.

3. Generate fresh Dungeon Crawl structures. Loot tables are resolved when a chest is populated, so structures generated before the mod was added may already have their contents locked in.

4. Open chests in newly generated dungeons and compare against a vanilla structure of similar tier to confirm the loot pool has widened.

Verifying It Is Working

If chests still look vanilla, check that no other datapack is overriding the same loot tables. Load order between datapacks matters, and a later pack can overwrite the integration's changes.
