How to Turn Loot Beams On or Off and Toggle Them In-Game

The Quick Toggle

Sometimes you want beams, sometimes you do not — for screenshots, for a clean build, or because they distract you in a specific area. Loot Beams Refork is client-side, so any toggle you use only affects your own view.

Ways to Enable or Disable

There are usually two routes:

  • Config file — open the Loot Beams config in your instance's config folder and find the master enable/disable option. Setting it to off stops all beams from rendering. Save and reload the game for it to take effect.
  • In-game keybind — many builds of this mod register a key you can press to toggle beams on the fly. Check your Controls settings for an entry related to Loot Beams and assign it a key you will remember. Pressing it flips beams on or off without leaving the world.

If no keybind appears in Controls, the mod may only support the config-file switch, or your mod loader's Mods screen may offer a config button.

Practical Tips

Use the keybind when you want a temporary off-switch — for example, while filming or building — and the config file when you want beams gone permanently. If beams vanish unexpectedly, first check whether you accidentally hit the toggle key, then confirm the master option in the config is still enabled. Because everything is client-side, toggling never changes what other players see.
