How to Configure Loot Beams Refork (Colors, Height, and Visibility)

Finding the Config

Loot Beams Refork is client-side, so its settings live on your own machine rather than the server. After launching the game once with the mod installed, open your Minecraft instance folder and look for a config directory. Inside you will find a Loot Beams configuration file. You can also reach many of these options in-game through the Mods list if your mod loader exposes a config button for it.

What You Can Change

Open the config and you will find sections controlling beam appearance and behavior. Typical options include:

  • Beam color — set a fixed color, or let the beam pick up the color of the item it marks.
  • Beam height and width — make beams taller or thinner so they stand out against terrain without cluttering your view.
  • Render distance — limit how far away beams are drawn, which helps performance on busy servers.
  • Item filtering — decide whether every dropped item gets a beam or only rare/valuable ones.
  • Toggle on/off — a master switch to disable beams entirely.

Applying Changes

Save the file and restart the game (or use the in-game reload if the mod provides one). Test by dropping a few different items in a creative world and watching how the beams respond. If a beam is too subtle, raise its height or increase opacity; if the world feels noisy, switch to filtering so only noteworthy loot glows. Because the mod is client-side, your changes never affect other players or the server.
