Expand Your Island and Claim New Land
Gathering Resources for Expansion
Your starting island is small, but you can expand it by collecting blocks and building outward. Begin by harvesting wood from any trees on your island, then craft planks and basic tools. Mine stone and dirt to accumulate building materials.
Building Outward Over Water
Once you have enough blocks, walk to the edge of your island and begin placing blocks horizontally over the water. Build in a direction that feels strategic—toward visible distant islands or areas where you want to establish farms or structures. Place blocks one at a time, walking forward as you build.
You can also use your wooden boat to travel further before building a bridge back. This lets you scout for better locations before committing resources.
Planning Your Layout
Before expanding too far, consider what you'll build: farms need flat space, mob grinders need height, and storage needs accessibility. Expand toward areas that support your survival goals rather than building randomly in all directions.
