How to Use F3 Screen and Coordinates to Solve Location-Based Puzzles

Reading Coordinates and Game Data

Some puzzles require you to check your exact position or facing direction using Minecraft's debug screen. This tests your knowledge of game mechanics and precision.

Step 1: Open the F3 debug screen. Press F3 (or Fn+F3 on some keyboards) to display your coordinates, facing direction, and other game data.

Step 2: Note your coordinates. Look for the X, Y, and Z values displayed on screen. These show your exact position on the map. Write these numbers down if the puzzle asks for them.

Step 3: Check your facing direction. The debug screen shows which direction you're looking (North, South, East, or West). Some puzzles require you to face a specific direction or report your orientation.

Step 4: Move to specific locations. If a puzzle gives you coordinates, use the F3 screen to navigate to that exact spot. Walk until your coordinates match the target.

Step 5: Combine with other clues. Coordinate-based puzzles often link to visual or mathematical clues. Use the location data alongside other hints to form your final code.
