Set up custom tools for faster queries
Configuring query tools
LogBlock allows you to bind query shortcuts to items, letting you investigate blocks without typing commands repeatedly.
Basic configuration:
1. Access your LogBlock config file (usually in the plugins folder)
2. Look for the tools section and define a custom tool—assign it a block or item type
3. Set the default query parameters for that tool, such as radius, time range, or player filters
4. Assign a tool action: right-click to lookup, left-click to rollback, or other behaviors
5. Reload the plugin using /lb reload
Using your tools
Once configured, hold the assigned item and interact with blocks or the ground to trigger automatic queries. This is much faster than typing /lb commands repeatedly during investigations. You can create multiple tools for different purposes—one for checking recent changes, another for deep historical lookups, and another for quick rollbacks. Customize the parameters to match your server's needs and your investigation style.
