Lock On to Distant or Fast-Moving Targets

Understanding Range Limits

Lock On can only select mobs within 10 blocks of your position. If your target is farther away, move closer before attempting to lock on. Once locked, you can track the mob as long as it remains visible—distance doesn't matter after initial lock.

Tracking Fast Mobs

Quick enemies like spiders, endermen, or other players can be challenging to lock onto because they move erratically. Position yourself so the mob is directly in front of you, then activate Lock On. The mod will snap to them if they're in range.

Maintaining Lock on Moving Targets

Once locked, the camera will follow your target automatically, even if they sprint or teleport (as long as they stay visible). If they move behind a wall or leave your line of sight, lock on will break.

Re-engaging Lost Targets

If you lose lock on a mob you want to track, move back into range and within line of sight, then press your Lock On keybind again. Use Tab to cycle through nearby targets if multiple mobs are present.
