Lock On to a Specific Mob in Combat

Activating Lock On

Press your Lock On keybind (default varies by installation) while facing a mob within 10 blocks. Your camera will snap to center on that target, and you'll enter lock on mode. A visual indicator will appear showing your locked target.

Maintaining Your Lock

While locked on, you can move freely around the mob—your camera will orbit and track it automatically. This is especially useful for:

  • Melee combat: Circle-strafe while attacking without losing sight of your target
  • Ranged combat: Keep your crosshair centered on moving enemies
  • Dodging: Back away or sidestep while maintaining aim

Switching Targets

If multiple mobs are nearby, press Tab to cycle through available targets within range. This lets you quickly shift focus without manually repositioning your camera.

Exiting Lock On

Press your Lock On keybind again to manually exit lock on mode. You'll also automatically exit if:

  • Your target dies
  • Your target moves out of sight (behind a wall or too far away)
  • You leave the world or dimension
