Test Loot Tables to See What You'll Catch

Use the /loot Command

The mod includes a built-in testing tool to inspect loot tables without waiting for fishing rod bites. This is useful for planning your fishing trips or verifying what items are available in a specific biome.

How to Test Loot Tables

1. Open your chat and type /loot followed by the appropriate parameters for the loot table you want to check.

2. The command will display the potential items from that loot table directly in your inventory or chat.

3. Compare results across biomes to decide which locations offer the items you're hunting.

Plan Your Fishing Strategy

By testing loot tables first, you can:

  • Identify which biomes have the items you need
  • Avoid wasting time fishing in biomes with unwanted drops
  • Understand the full range of possible catches before committing to a location

This is especially helpful when hunting rare items from underground biomes or the End dimension. Test the loot table, confirm the item exists, then travel to that biome and fish until you find it.
