Activate Localized Fishing Tables

Before you can enjoy biome-specific fishing rewards, you need to enable the data pack in your world. This is a one-time setup that takes seconds.

Enable the Data Pack

1. Open your chat in-game and type the following command:

/datapack enable "file/localized-fishing-tables"

`

2. Press Enter to execute the command.

3. Confirm activation — You should receive a message indicating the data pack is now active.

Verify It's Working

Once enabled, travel to any biome with water and cast your fishing rod. You should notice items appearing that aren't part of standard Minecraft fishing. If you're not seeing biome-specific rewards, double-check that the command executed successfully.

Important Notes

The data pack works alongside vanilla fishing mechanics — standard drops like fish and books still appear. This means you get both original Minecraft rewards and the new biome-exclusive treasures. The data pack supports over a dozen different environment types, so fishing becomes rewarding across your entire world.
