Use Localized Chat with Commands and System Messages

Understand What Gets Filtered

Localized Chat primarily filters player-to-player text messages. System messages, command outputs, and administrative notifications typically bypass the radius filter and appear for all players regardless of distance. This ensures important server announcements and command feedback remain visible.

Send Commands Across Distance

You can still execute commands and receive their results even if the command executor is outside your chat radius. The command output may appear in your chat without being subject to localization filtering.

Check Mod Compatibility with Chat Plugins

If your server uses chat formatting plugins or command systems, verify they work well with Localized Chat. Some plugins may have their own message handling that interacts differently with the radius filter.

Customize Filtering Behavior

Some configurations allow you to whitelist certain message types (like admin messages or broadcasts) to always display globally. Check your config file for options to exclude specific message categories from radius filtering.
