Troubleshoot Messages Not Being Filtered

Verify the Mod is Loaded

Check your mod list in-game (usually accessible from the main menu) to confirm Localized Chat Mod appears and is enabled. If it's missing, the mod may not be installed correctly.

Check Your Configuration File

Open the config file and confirm that the mod is set to enabled and the radius value is a reasonable number (not set to an extremely large value). A very high radius will make filtering ineffective.

Confirm Player Distances

Use coordinates to verify actual distances between players. Open the debug screen (F3 on most setups) to see your position and have other players share theirs. Calculate the distance to confirm whether messages should actually be filtered.

Look for Conflicting Mods

Other chat-related mods may interfere with Localized Chat. Try disabling other communication or chat modification mods temporarily to isolate the issue.

Reset to Defaults

If problems persist, delete the config file and let the mod regenerate it with default settings, then reconfigure manually.
