Set Up Your Chat Radius

Access the Configuration

Localized Chat Mod stores its settings in a configuration file. Navigate to your mod's config folder (usually found in .minecraft/config/) and locate the Localized Chat configuration file.

Adjust the Radius Value

Open the config file with a text editor and find the radius or range setting. This value determines how many blocks away from your position players must be before their messages stop appearing in your chat. Increase the number to hear players from farther away, or decrease it to only see nearby communication.

Apply Your Changes

Save the configuration file and restart your Minecraft client or server for changes to take effect. Test by having a friend stand at different distances and send chat messages—you should only see their messages when they're within your configured radius.

Fine-Tune as Needed

If you find the radius too restrictive or too permissive, return to the config file and adjust the value again. There's no penalty for experimenting, so find the sweet spot that works for your playstyle and server activity level.
