Prevent Your Llama from Spitting
Why Llamas Spit
Llamas in this mod retain their vanilla behavior: they spit when hit or provoked. A spit attack deals damage and applies a slowness effect, making it dangerous during rides or while managing your herd.
Avoid Accidental Hits
The most reliable way to prevent spitting is to never strike your llama. Be careful with area-of-effect attacks, explosions, or splash potions near your steed. Even one accidental hit will trigger a spit response.
Safe Handling Practices
When interacting with your llama—taming, saddling, or decorating—use only right-click actions. Keep your sword and tools sheathed. If other mobs are attacking nearby, move your llama to safety rather than fighting around it.
Managing Aggression
The effect is temporary. Once it stops spitting, you can safely approach and ride again.
Herd Protection
If you have multiple llamas, keep them away from hostile mobs and other players who might accidentally damage them. A safe pen or stable prevents unwanted confrontations and keeps your steeds friendly and rideable.
