Understanding Llama Carpets

Carpets serve as decorative saddle blankets for your llama. Each carpet color displays a unique patterned rug across the llama's back, making your steed visually distinctive.

Applying Carpets

With a carpet in your hand, right-click your saddled llama while sneaking to open its inventory. Place the carpet in the carpet slot. The pattern will immediately appear on the llama's back.

Changing Carpet Colors

You can swap carpets at any time. Simply open the llama's inventory again and replace the current carpet with a different color. This lets you customize your llama's appearance to match your mood or base aesthetic.

Carpet Availability

Carpets come in all standard Minecraft colors—white, orange, magenta, light blue, yellow, lime, pink, gray, light gray, cyan, purple, blue, brown, green, red, and black. Craft them using wool, or find them in generated structures.

Keeping Your Llama Safe

While decorating, avoid hitting your llama. The carpet won't protect it from damage—it's purely cosmetic. A decorated llama is still a llama that can spit if angered.
