Troubleshooting Missing or Incorrect Dragon Egg Texture

Verify Pack is Active

First, confirm the Living Dragon Resource Pack appears in your active resource packs list:

1. Go to Options → Resource Packs

2. Check that Living Dragon is in the right-side (active) column

3. If it's on the left, drag it to the right to activate it

4. Close the menu and reload your world

Check for Conflicts

Other packs may override the dragon egg texture. Review all active packs and move Living Dragon to the top of the list. Disable any other packs that modify entity or block textures temporarily to test.

Verify File Integrity

A corrupted download can cause texture issues:

  • Delete the pack and re-download it
  • Ensure it's in your resourcepacks folder (not nested in subfolders)
  • Check that the file isn't corrupted by attempting to open it as a ZIP archive

Compatibility Check

Confirm your Minecraft version matches the pack's requirements. Mismatched versions may cause textures to fail loading. If problems persist after these steps, try creating a fresh world with only this pack active to isolate the issue.
