How to Install Lithium Mod on Minecraft Java Edition
Lithium is a Java Edition mod, so it will not work on Bedrock, Pocket Edition, or consoles. If you are on Java, installation is straightforward once you have the right loader.
Choosing a Mod Loader
Lithium is built for Fabric, and a compatible build also exists for NeoForge. Pick the loader that matches the rest of your modpack. If you are starting fresh and only want performance mods, Fabric is the lighter option. Download the loader installer, run it, and select your Minecraft version.
Placing the Mod and Launching
Once the loader is installed, open your Minecraft directory and locate the mods folder. If it does not exist, create it. Drop the Lithium .jar file into that folder alongside any other mods you use. Do not rename the jar. Now open your launcher and select the profile the loader created — not the default vanilla profile. Launch the game. If Lithium loaded correctly, you will see it listed in the mods screen on the title menu. If the game crashes on startup, the most common cause is a loader or Minecraft version mismatch, so double-check that the jar matches your installed version.
