Maximize Visual Quality Without Performance Loss
Check Quality Tiers
Open the shader settings menu and locate quality or performance options. Most shader packs offer preset levels (Low, Medium, High, Ultra). Start at your system's comfortable baseline.
Adjust Specific Effects
Look for toggles or sliders for:
- Shadow quality and distance
- Ambient occlusion (darkening in crevices)
- Reflection detail
- Particle effects intensity
Disabling or lowering individual effects has less impact than dropping the entire quality tier.
Monitor Frame Rate
Use F3 debug screen to watch FPS while adjusting settings. Small tweaks to shadow distance or reflection quality often yield noticeable performance gains without sacrificing the visual refresh the shader provides.
Balance Aesthetics and Performance
Lit Vanilla Plus is designed to stay lightweight compared to heavy shader packs. You should achieve good visuals at Medium or High settings on most systems. If performance drops, reduce shadow distance first—it has the biggest impact.
