LightSpeedRe Mod: Faster Modpack Loading

What LightSpeedRe Does

LightSpeedRe is a small, client-side optimization mod focused on one job: cutting down how long a modpack takes to load. It is an unofficial port of the original LightSpeed Mod to newer Minecraft versions.

The main improvement comes from resource pack caching. Instead of redoing the same resource pack work on every launch, the mod caches that work so subsequent startups skip it. The result is a reported reduction in modpack loading times of roughly 48–71%, which matters most on large packs where startup can otherwise drag on.

LightSpeedRe also removes redundant model baking optimizations that vanilla Minecraft already performs, avoiding duplicated effort during startup.

Because it is lightweight and client-side, it does not add items, blocks, or gameplay changes. It simply makes launching a heavily modded instance faster, and it is best suited to players running big packs who want quicker startups without altering how the game plays.
