Verify the Shader is Actually Working
Check if Lightmap Fixer is Active
Sometimes shaders don't load correctly. Confirm the mod is working:
1. Place torches in a dark area and observe the light they emit
2. In vanilla or unmodded versions, block light appears noticeably orange in newer updates
3. With Lightmap Fixer active, that orange tint should be significantly reduced or absent
4. Compare your current world to screenshots of the "before" state shown in the mod description
Troubleshoot if It's Not Working
- Verify the shader pack is enabled in your Video Settings
- Check that you're using a compatible Minecraft version
- Restart the game completely after installation
- Look at cave systems and underground areas—these show the difference most clearly
- If block light still looks too warm, the shader may not have loaded; try reinstalling
The most obvious sign of success is that torchlight and glowstone emit a more neutral, less orange glow compared to the default appearance.
