Obtaining Mending Books

Mending is one of the most valuable enchantments in the game, allowing items to repair themselves using experience. Under this mod, mending books from librarians are capped at level three, but mending itself only has one level, so this doesn't directly limit the enchantment.

Finding Mending Sources

1. Trade with librarian villagers to obtain mending books

2. Check multiple librarians, as mending may not be offered by every one

3. Be prepared to spend significant emeralds on mending books

4. Consider alternative sources like fishing or loot chests if librarian trades seem unfavorable

Applying Mending Strategically

Once you have a mending book, apply it to your most important tools and armor at an anvil. Prioritize items you use constantly—pickaxes, swords, and chestplates. With mending active, these items will repair automatically as you gain experience, eliminating the need for constant replacement or repair.
