Getting High-Level Enchantment Books from Librarians

Understanding the Level Cap

Librarian villagers now have a maximum enchantment book level of three. This means you cannot obtain level four or higher enchantment books directly from a single librarian trade. To get the powerful high-level enchantments you need, you'll have to combine multiple lower-level books.

Combining Books at an Anvil

1. Obtain multiple level three enchantment books of the same type from different librarians or trades

2. Place an anvil in your world

3. Open the anvil interface and place two enchantment books in the left slots

4. The anvil will combine them into a single higher-level book

5. Repeat this process, combining the result with additional level three books until you reach your desired level

Efficient Farming Strategy

Set up multiple librarian stations with lecterns to access different enchantment books. Since you can no longer reset trades infinitely to get perfect deals, focus on finding librarians who offer the enchantments you need most. Trade for level three books, then combine them systematically. This requires more planning but creates a more balanced progression path through the game.
