Lexiconfig Mod Guide
What Lexiconfig Does
Lexiconfig is a
configuration API rather than a content mod. It gives mod developers a shared foundation for building and managing config files, and it focuses on integrating with other libraries so that configs behave consistently across mods that use it.
For developers, the main draw is an annotation-based syntax. Instead of writing boilerplate code to read, write, and validate every option by hand, you mark up fields in a class and let Lexiconfig handle the rest. This makes creating a new config file quicker and keeps the code readable.
For players, the benefit is indirect: mods built on Lexiconfig tend to expose their settings in a predictable, uniform way, so you spend less time figuring out where an option lives or how it is formatted. You do not install Lexiconfig to get new items or blocks; you install it because another mod depends on it. If a mod lists Lexiconfig as a requirement, keep it installed alongside that mod.
