Find Specific Biomes in Your Flat World
Locating Biomes
Biomes generate in their standard distribution patterns across your flat world. Travel in different directions from your spawn point to encounter variety—oceans typically border land biomes, deserts and badlands cluster together, and frozen biomes appear in their expected regions.
Using Coordinates
Note your coordinates as you explore. Biome transitions occur at the same scales as normal worlds, so traveling thousands of blocks in one direction will eventually lead you to different biome types. Mark promising locations with waypoints or beacons.
Biome-Specific Features
Each biome spawns its characteristic plants and structures on the flat terrain. Forests grow trees naturally, badlands display their distinctive colored terrain, and frozen oceans generate icebergs. This means you can find biome-specific resources—like different wood types or unique plants—without leaving your flat world.
Underground cave systems also respect biome boundaries, so exploring below different biomes yields region-appropriate ores and cave decorations.
