Create a Flat World with Mixed Biomes

Setting Up Your World

When creating a new world, select the Superflat Biome Extension world type from the world type menu instead of the default Superflat or Standard options. This world type preserves the full biome distribution system while keeping terrain completely flat.

What to Expect

Your world will generate with biomes arranged naturally across the landscape—you'll encounter plains, forests, deserts, badlands, oceans, and frozen regions all on flat ground. Unlike vanilla Superflat, you won't be confined to a single biome.

Surface features spawn naturally: water generates in oceans and rivers, lava pools appear in appropriate biomes, and terrain decorations like ice spikes and icebergs place themselves on the flat surface.

Underground Generation

Beneath the flat surface, standard ore distribution and cave systems generate normally. You can mine for coal, iron, diamonds, and other ores as usual. This means you get the exploration and resource-gathering experience of a normal world without navigating mountains or valleys.
