Understand What Still Gets Destroyed in Creeper Explosions

What the Mod Does NOT Protect

Lenient Creepers Mod has a specific purpose: it only prevents items on the ground from disappearing. Many other things are still affected by creeper explosions.

Still Destroyed or Damaged

Blocks: Terrain, buildings, and structures are still destroyed by creeper blasts (unless mobGriefing is disabled)

Player Health: You still take damage from the explosion

Entities: Other mobs and animals can still be harmed

Ongoing Mechanics: Fire, knockback, and other explosion effects still occur normally

Items That ARE Protected

Only items already dropped on the ground are safe. This includes:

• Mined blocks converted to items
• Dropped inventory items
• Items from broken containers

Planning Your Defenses

Don't rely solely on this mod for protection. Still use:

• Armor and shields for personal safety
• Walls and barriers for base defense
• Distance and positioning to avoid explosions
• The mobGriefing gamerule if you want to disable all mob destruction
