Smelt Sand into Glass Using a Blast Furnace

Prepare Your Materials

Collect regular sand or red sand from beaches, deserts, or other biomes. You'll need a blast furnace, which can be crafted or found in villages and other structures.

Load the Blast Furnace

Place your sand or red sand into the top slot of the blast furnace. Add fuel (coal, charcoal, or other fuel sources) into the fuel slot at the bottom.

Speed Up Glass Production

Unlike a regular furnace, the blast furnace processes materials faster. This legacy mechanic allows you to smelt sand directly into glass at an accelerated rate, making large-scale glass production much more efficient than traditional methods.

Collect Your Glass

Once smelting completes, collect the glass blocks from the output slot. You can now quickly gather glass for building projects, decoration, or crafting. This is particularly useful when constructing large structures that require significant amounts of glass blocks.
