The Lectern Overhaul Mod removes the standard book interface entirely. When you place a written book on a lectern, the text renders directly above the block in 3D space. This means you can read books while remaining fully aware of your surroundings—no fullscreen GUI blocks your view.

Use this feature to create immersive storytelling spaces, libraries, or information hubs that feel integrated into your world. Place lecterns at eye level or on pedestals so text is naturally readable. Combine multiple lecterns in themed areas to create a cohesive reading experience.

Since the text hovers above the lectern rather than appearing in a separate window, you maintain spatial awareness and can interact with other players or your environment while reading.
