Build a Base in Lavaflow Without Constant Fire Hazards
Choose Elevated, Isolated Terrain
Select a plateau or hilltop away from major lava rivers and cascades. Higher elevation means fewer lava flows nearby and better visibility for defense. Avoid building in valleys where lava collects—these are natural fire traps.
Excavate Into Solid Ground
Dig into hillsides rather than building on exposed surfaces. Underground bases are naturally protected from lava exposure and provide better insulation. Leave at least a few blocks of solid material between your base and any external lava sources.
Use Fire-Resistant Materials
Construct outer walls and roofs from blackstone, basalt, or purpur blocks. These resist fire and blend with Lavaflow's aesthetic. Reserve flammable materials like wood for interior decoration only, and keep them away from external walls.
Create Lava Barriers
If your base overlooks lava rivers, build protective walls or moats using non-flammable blocks. You can also channel lava away using careful block placement—direct flows around your base rather than through it. This transforms a hazard into a defensive feature.
