Understanding Puzzle Types

Redwood Asylum contains various puzzle mechanisms designed to gate progression. Most puzzles require you to locate specific items or deduce solutions from environmental clues.

Common Puzzle Patterns:

• Key-based locks: Search nearby rooms for matching keys
• Item combination puzzles: Collect multiple objects and use them together
• Environmental clues: Read notes and examine room details for hints about correct sequences
• Audio or visual triggers: Some doors unlock after specific story events occur

Approaching Locked Areas

When you encounter a locked door, don't force it. Instead:

1. Explore all accessible areas thoroughly first

2. Collect every note and item you find

3. Return to the locked door and review any nearby clues

4. Check your inventory for items that might interact with the lock

5. If still stuck, revisit earlier rooms—you may have missed a key item

Puzzles are designed to be solvable with items and information already available in the map. Patience and careful observation are more effective than random attempts.
