How to Add Support for a Custom or Modded Ore

The mod ships with predefined configs for common ores, but its real strength is that you can add any ore — including ones from other mods — as a deposit.

Find the ore's identifier

You need the exact registry name of the ore block or item you want to use. Check the mod's own documentation or use in-game tools that list block IDs. Getting this string wrong is the most common reason a custom deposit silently fails to generate.

Create the deposit config

Place a config file in the adlods/Deposits folder. Inside it, define the deposit's name, the ore or ores it contains, their proportions if you want a mixed deposit, and the size and rarity parameters. Because the mod uses simple parameters, you do not need to write complex logic — just set the values. If you prefer, you can build the deposit with /lods commands first and then copy the resulting settings into the file.

Restrict it properly

Decide which dimensions and biomes the deposit may appear in. If you leave restrictions open, it can spawn anywhere the dimension allows, which may not be what you want for a rare or themed ore. You can also define an above-ground indicator block so players have a visual hint.

Verify

Load the world and run /lods list deposits to confirm your new entry appears. Then use /lods list generated after exploring to check it is actually spawning. Adjust rarity if it is too common or too scarce.
