Installing and Using Lanterns with Candles

How It Works

This resource pack replaces the appearance of vanilla lanterns with detailed, animated versions. Simply install it like any other resource pack—it requires no crafting or configuration.

What Changes

Regular lanterns now display a lit wax candle inside the glass. Soul lanterns show soul sand instead. Copper lanterns glow with molten copper. All variants feature animated flame and smoke effects that make the light sources feel alive.

When you hold a lantern, it displays as a full 3D model rather than a flat texture, giving it depth and detail. The animated flames continue to flicker whether the lantern is placed or in your hand.

Use these lanterns anywhere you'd normally place vanilla lanterns—they work identically in function but look significantly more atmospheric for bases, caves, and outdoor lighting.
