Preserve Vanilla Textures While Using Shaders
Confirm Texture Pack Compatibility
LAN Shaders is designed to work with vanilla textures and doesn't modify block appearances. If you're using a custom texture pack, ensure it's compatible by checking that blocks still render correctly without strange colors or missing details.
Avoid Conflicting Shader Settings
Within Shader Options, disable any features that alter texture appearance:
- Texture enhancement or sharpening filters
- Color grading or saturation adjustments that distort original colors
- Normal mapping or parallax effects (if present)
Verify Water and Block Rendering
Visit different biomes and check that water flows naturally without artifacts, and that blocks like dirt, stone, and wood appear as they do in vanilla Minecraft. If you notice visual glitches, lower shader intensity or disable advanced rendering options. LAN Shaders should enhance lighting only, not replace the textures you expect.
