Optimize LAN Shaders for Low-End Computers
Reduce Shader Intensity
LAN Shaders is already lightweight, but you can minimize performance impact further. Open Shader Options and look for settings labeled Quality, Performance Mode, or Intensity. Lower these values to reduce the computational load while maintaining the core lighting improvements.
Disable Optional Effects
Toggle off any non-essential visual features:
- Ambient occlusion (if available)
- Shadow detail or shadow distance
- Water reflections or special water effects
- Bloom or glow effects
These features, when disabled, preserve frame rates on older systems while keeping basic lighting intact.
Monitor Frame Rate
Press F3 to open the debug screen and watch your FPS counter. If performance drops below your target frame rate, return to shader options and disable additional features one at a time. This helps you find the balance between visual improvement and smooth gameplay on your specific hardware.
