How to Enable Connected Grass Textures in Lambda Better Grass

Check Your Resource Pack Setup

Lambda Better Grass does not add its own textures — it changes how existing block models connect. This means you still need a resource pack that includes the connected texture assets the mod expects. If grass looks flat and unconnected, the most common cause is a resource pack that lacks the required texture files, or a pack that overrides vanilla grass in a way the mod cannot hook into.

Verify the Mod Is Actually Loading

1. Open the mod list screen and confirm Lambda Better Grass appears and is enabled.

2. Enter a world and place several grass blocks in a row on flat ground.

3. Look at the top faces from a slight angle — connected textures show as a single blended surface rather than repeated identical tiles.

4. If nothing changes, try a different resource pack known to support connected textures, then reload with the resource pack screen rather than restarting the game.

Common Conflicts

Other mods that replace grass block models or add their own connected-texture systems can fight with Lambda Better Grass. Disable competing grass or connected-texture mods one at a time to isolate the conflict. Note that the mod affects podzol, mycelium, dirt paths, and both nylium types too, so test those blocks as well — if only vanilla grass fails, the problem is almost always the resource pack, not the mod.
