Enable Water Reflections and Adjust Their Quality

Open Shader Settings

Press Shift + O in-game to access the shader configuration panel.

Locate Water Reflection Options

Navigate to the graphics or water-related settings section. Look for options labeled "Water Reflections," "Water Quality," or "Reflections."

Configure Reflection Settings

Enable water reflections by toggling the option on. You'll see water surfaces begin to reflect the sky, clouds, and surrounding terrain. The reflection quality can usually be adjusted:

  • Lower quality: Faster performance, less detailed reflections
  • Higher quality: More detailed reflections of the environment, requires more processing power

Observe the Effect

Walk near water bodies—oceans, lakes, or rivers—to see reflections in action. The reflections will update dynamically as you move and as lighting changes throughout the day-night cycle. Reflections are particularly noticeable during sunrise and sunset when the sky is colorful.

Fine-Tune as Needed

If reflections cause performance issues, reduce the quality setting. The vanilla-like aesthetic means reflections enhance realism without looking out of place in your world.
