Adjust Shader Settings for Your Computer's Performance

Access the Shader Menu

Press Shift + O while in-game to open the shader options screen. This menu contains all graphics settings you can customize.

Optimize for Your System

For lower-end computers:

  • Disable or reduce shadow quality in the shadow settings
  • Lower water reflection detail to improve frame rate
  • Turn off extra lighting effects if performance drops
  • Reduce render distance if needed

For high-end computers:

  • Enable enhanced shadow rendering for sharper, more detailed shadows
  • Increase water reflection resolution for clearer reflections
  • Activate advanced lighting options for more vibrant colored lighting effects
  • Experiment with additional visual enhancements available in the menu

Test and Fine-Tune

After adjusting settings, return to your world and observe performance. Watch for frame rate stability, especially in areas with many light sources or large bodies of water. If you experience stuttering or lag, reduce settings incrementally until performance improves. The shader is designed to scale smoothly, so you can find a balance between visual quality and smooth gameplay on any system.

Settings are saved automatically, so your preferences persist across sessions.
