Adjust Water Clarity and Reflection Settings
Access Shader Settings
Open the Shader Options menu by pressing the designated key (usually found in your controls menu or by opening the pause screen and selecting Shader Options). Look for the water-related settings panel.
Modify Water Appearance
Locate the water clarity or transparency slider. Increasing this value makes water more transparent, letting you see deeper into lakes and oceans. This is especially useful when exploring underwater structures or searching for resources on the ocean floor.
Find the water reflection or shine setting. Reducing this can help if water is too bright during daytime, while increasing it adds more visual depth. The subtle shine default works well for most situations.
Test Your Changes
Walk to a body of water and observe the changes in real time. Adjust sliders incrementally—small changes often have noticeable effects. If water becomes too dark or loses visibility, dial back the transparency setting slightly.
These adjustments won't impact your frame rate significantly, so feel free to experiment until the water looks right for your playstyle.
