Create a Piston-Driven Elevator with Seating
Build the Elevator Frame
Stack pistons vertically and attach a platform or frame to the top using super glue. This platform will move up and down with the piston extension. Make sure the structure is stable and aligned properly.
Install Furniture
Place a chair or sofa on the elevator platform. Position it centrally so it won't collide with surrounding blocks as the platform moves. Test the piston movement before adding passengers.
Operate the Elevator
Right-click the chair to sit, then activate the piston with a redstone signal (button, lever, or redstone circuit). As the piston extends or retracts, you'll rise or fall while remaining safely seated.
Design Considerations
- Build a protective cage around the elevator to prevent falls
- Use slime blocks with pistons for smoother, more reliable movement
- Add multiple chairs on larger platforms for group elevators
- Combine with redstone timers for automatic up-and-down cycles
