Creating a Functional Base Inside the Temple

Choose Your Location

The courtyards are ideal for base-building because they're enclosed by the temple structure, offer flat ground, and have water access. Select a courtyard away from the main pathways to minimize interference with exploration. The outer rings near the bridges provide more privacy than central areas.

Layout Essentials

Separate functional and aesthetic zones. Keep crafting stations, furnaces, and storage in one area; reserve decorative spaces for living quarters or gathering areas.

Use the existing pools. Position your base near a rectangular water pool—it provides water for farms and looks intentional within the temple's design.

Build vertically. The tall towers show that height is part of the architecture. Stack your structures upward to match the scale and use less courtyard floor space.

Create entrances. Design clear pathways from the main walkways into your base area so it feels integrated, not hidden.

Incorporate stone. Use the same stone blocks as the temple for roofs, walls, and details. This makes your base feel like part of the original structure rather than an addition.

Leave room for expansion. Courtyards are large—build your core base smaller so you can grow without running out of space.
