Configure Light Shafts (God Rays) Intensity

Open Lighting Options

Access your Shader Options menu and navigate to the Lighting, Effects, or Volumetric section. Light shafts (often called god rays or crepuscular rays) have dedicated controls here.

Adjust Ray Intensity and Visibility

Find the volumetric light or god ray intensity slider. Increasing this value makes light shafts more prominent as they pass through trees, clouds, and water. Decreasing it creates subtle, realistic lighting without overwhelming the scene.

Control Ray Density and Spread

Look for settings affecting how many rays appear and how far they spread across the screen. Higher density creates more visible rays, while spread controls determine their width and reach.

Fine-Tune for Different Environments

Light shafts look best in forests and near water. Test your settings in these locations. In open areas, rays may be less visible since there's less to cast shadows. Adjust intensity so rays enhance atmosphere without looking artificial.

Balance with Overall Brightness

If light shafts make your world too bright, reduce intensity or adjust your overall brightness settings. Light shafts should complement your scene, not dominate it.
