Photographing Your World for Screenshots
Set Up Your FreeCam Shot
Press F6 to activate FreeCam. You can now position your camera at any angle and height without your character blocking the view or affecting the composition.
Position the Camera Creatively
Fly to angles that would be impossible to photograph normally:
- Inside solid blocks: Get close-up shots of intricate details without clipping issues.
- High overhead angles: Capture your entire base or landscape in one frame.
- Cinematic flyovers: Hover at specific points to frame buildings, terrain, and sky perfectly.
Optimize Visibility
Use ClearVision (F7) to remove fog and darkness, making distant landscapes crisp and visible. This is especially useful for:
- Showcasing underground factories with full visibility
- Photographing caves without shadow obstruction
- Capturing detailed shots of structures in dark areas
Take Your Screenshot
Once positioned, press your screenshot key (default F2 in Minecraft) to capture the view. Your character won't appear in the shot since you're in FreeCam mode.
Press F6 to exit FreeCam when finished. Your character returns to their original standing position.
