How to Read the Day Counter Above Your Hotbar

Where the Counter Appears

Once the mod is installed, a small day number renders directly above your hotbar, centered horizontally. It sits in the same screen space as the hotbar itself, so it stays visible during normal play without opening any menu. The number reflects the current in-game day, updating automatically as time passes.

What the Number Means

Each time the world passes through a full day/night cycle, the counter advances by one. Day 1 is the first day of a fresh world, so a counter reading "5" means five in-game days have elapsed since you spawned. Because the value is tied to world time rather than your playtime, sleeping through the night still advances the count as the world rolls into the next day.

Reading It at a Glance

  • Keep an eye on the counter when timing farms, mob spawns, or villager schedules.
  • The number is always on-screen, so you never need to press a key or open a debug screen to check it.
  • If you play with a resource pack or shader that changes UI, the counter still draws above the hotbar in its default position.

This makes it easy to reference the day mid-task without breaking your flow.
