What Each Hammer Variant Does (Reinforced, Impact, Destructor)
Variant Overview
Just Hammers adds several hammer styles per material. Each one changes how the hammer breaks blocks, not just how much damage it deals.
- Base Hammer: The standard 3x3 area miner. Breaks a small square of blocks in front of you.
- Reinforced Hammer: Built for durability. It lasts longer before breaking, making it ideal for long mining sessions where you do not want to carry multiple hammers.
- Impact Hammer: Focuses on hitting harder or faster, useful when you want to clear blocks quickly rather than preserve the tool.
- Destructor Hammer: The largest area-of-effect variant. It breaks a bigger region per swing, great for strip mining or clearing large volumes.
- Reinforced Impact Hammer: Combines the durability of the reinforced variant with the impact variant's behavior.
Choosing the Right One
- Mining a tunnel? Use a Destructor Hammer.
- Long expedition with limited inventory? Reinforced Hammer.
- Speed-clearing a cave? Impact Hammer.
- Want both durability and speed? Reinforced Impact Hammer.
Important Note
All variants are material-tiered. A stone Destructor Hammer will not mine obsidian, but a diamond or netherite Destructor Hammer will handle tougher blocks. Match the variant to the job and the material to the block hardness.
