How to Look Up Any Villager Profession with JEI

Open the Profession Recipe Page

With Just Enough Professions installed alongside JEI, you can pull up a profession's info page from almost anywhere in your inventory. Hover your cursor over an emerald or a villager spawn egg and press the JEI recipe key (default U). JEI will open a page listing villager professions, and you can browse the entries to find the one you want.

If you already know the profession's name, you can also search for it directly in the JEI search bar at the bottom of the screen, then click the matching entry to open its page.

Read the Profession Page

Each profession page shows you the key facts you need:

• The workstation block the villager must claim to take that profession.
• A rendering of the workstation block, so you can recognize it in the world.
• The mod the profession comes from, so you can tell vanilla professions apart from modded ones.

Hover over the profession's name and hold Shift to reveal which mod added it. This is the fastest way to figure out whether a profession is vanilla or comes from another mod in your pack.

Use this page whenever you meet a villager with an unfamiliar job and want to know what block to place to control its profession.
