How to Use Time Crystals and the Budding Time Crystal Block

What Time Crystals Are

Budding Time Crystal Block is a growth block: like budding amethyst, it spawns Time Crystal clusters on its faces over time. Place it and leave adjacent faces open so clusters can form. Harvest the clusters when they mature to collect Time Crystals, which feed into the mod's higher-tier crafting and the Time Wand line of items.

Growing and Harvesting

Do not mine the Budding block itself — that destroys the source. Only break the grown clusters. Give the budding block room on multiple sides to maximize yield, and consider walling it in so clusters do not spill into unwanted space. If you want to scale up, place several Budding Time Crystal Blocks in a grid with gaps between them.

Using Time Crystals

Time Crystals are used to craft and power time-related tools, including the Time Wand Entity and related projectiles. They also tie into the Celestigem progression. Stockpile them — you will need a steady supply if you plan to build multiple time tools. Pair your crystal farm with an Advanced Block Breaker filtered to only mine mature clusters, and route the drops into a chest so the farm runs itself while you work on other projects.
