How to Automate Mining and Placing with Advanced Block Breaker and Placer

Placing the Machines

Craft an Advanced Block Breaker and an Advanced Block Placer. Place the Breaker facing the block you want to harvest — its working face must point at the target. Place the Placer so its output face points where you want blocks to appear. Both machines need a redstone signal or an internal toggle to run, so decide whether you want them always-on or pulse-driven.

Feeding and Filtering

Put a chest or hopper behind the Breaker to collect drops, and a chest behind the Placer stocked with the blocks you want placed. The Advanced variants support filtering, so you can tell the Breaker which blocks to mine and the Placer which to place. This is what separates them from the basic versions — you can run a quarry that ignores dirt and only takes ore, or a placer that only sets down a specific block type.

Chaining Them Together

A common setup is Breaker → chest → Placer, so blocks mined in one spot are re-placed somewhere else. Use the Advanced Sensor to detect block changes and trigger the pair, and the Advanced Swapper if you want to exchange one block for another in place. Power the whole line with Blaze Ember Fuel. Test with a small loop first, then expand the footprint once you trust the filter settings.
