Reinforcing Bridges and Preventing Fall Damage
Assessing Bridge Safety
The wooden bridges connecting platforms are charming but require maintenance to stay safe. Regularly inspect them for damage from mobs or weather, and ensure railings are complete to prevent accidental falls from the height.
Strengthening Your Bridge Network
1. Walk each bridge carefully and look for missing or damaged wooden planks. Replace any degraded sections immediately.
2. Check that railings or fences run along both sides of every bridge. Add missing sections using the same wood type as the original structure.
3. Place torches along bridges at regular intervals—this prevents mobs from spawning on the wood and improves visibility at night.
4. Consider adding a second layer of railings or a roof over bridges if you frequently carry heavy loads, reducing the risk of items falling if you slip.
5. Test bridge stability by walking across while holding items; if it feels unsafe, reinforce support beams underneath.
6. Create a backup route between critical platforms in case one bridge becomes damaged during exploration.
