Practicing Reset Jumps Effectively
Setting Up a Practice Environment
Create a dedicated space to train your reset jump timing:
1. Build a flat arena away from distractions
2. Gather knockback weapons or ask a friend to help by hitting you
3. Position yourself so knockback launches you in a predictable direction
4. Ensure you have clear space to land safely
Training Routine
Start with controlled practice:
- Take knockback hits from the same source repeatedly
- Focus on the overlay feedback after each jump
- Aim for consistent 0-tick resets before moving to harder scenarios
- Gradually increase difficulty by varying knockback strength or adding movement
- Practice against different opponents to adapt to varying knockback patterns
The mod's overlay is most valuable during this training phase. As you improve, you'll need to glance at it less frequently. Track your progress by counting successful resets in a row, then challenge yourself to beat that number.
